Follow Carmen

Recruited to Roanoke College for soccer, Carmen competed on the side as a sprinter and jumper for the track team. Slowly moving up in distance throughout her collegiate career, she qualified for the 2016 Olympic Trials in the 3000 meter steeplechase. After her brief stint at professional running was cut short due to injury, Carmen quit the sport, not taking it up again until the pandemic, when she coached herself back to qualifying for the 2021 Olympic Trials. The Founder of Denver Athletics, Carmen hosts all-comers track meets in order to help bring the Denver running community together.

Through Aspire OTQ, Carmen hopes to continue cultivating the Colorado running community through local programs where athletes of all ages and abilities participate and enjoy track.
