Here’s a quick Q&A with a few of them:

Dan Caron

Why did you join the BRR?
To get the most out of the time I live in CO

Do you have any upcoming races or running goals?
Consistency

Tell us a quick fun fact about yourself (or your family)
I don’t like cheese

Darcy Geldmeyer

Why did you join the BRR?
I’ve been looking for a community of runners since my husband and I moved to Broomfield. I personally have been making it a goal this year to run for fun and bring back the joy for running in my life. We’ve been part of past running groups and the atmosphere is always so encouraging and also pushes me to better myself.

Do you have any upcoming races or running goals?
Bolder Boulder – goal is to run and have fun but I’d like to see myself beat my 10k PR

Tell us a quick fun fact about yourself (or your family)
My husband and I, and our 3 pets, lived in an RV for 2 years and traveled everywhere in that thing.

Sidney Geldmeyer

Why did you join the BRR?
We’re somewhat newer to CO, and would love to be a part of the amazing running community here. As a fitness/wellness professional, being active and healthy is the top priority in life, and I want to be surrounded by others who feel the same way. I’m not looking to be ultra-fast or anything. It’s about enjoying exercise and movement for life for me!

Do you have any upcoming races or running goals?
Bolder Boulder

Tell us a quick fun fact about yourself (or your family)
We’re from WI originally but have been all over as we work from home and have that flexibility. Colorado has called us back 3 times now in the past 4 years! Also, we were married on the roof of Lambeau Field in Green Bay 🧀

Myles McDonald

Why did you join the BRR?
Great way to compete in events that I love

Do you have any upcoming races or running goals?
Nothing in particular!

Tell us a quick fun fact about yourself (or your family)
I played football and was a decathlete at the University of Puget Sound for 4 years while there. So if y’all could host a decathlon that would be awesome!

Mark Opel

Why did you join the BRR?
To get to know some of the Boulder running community and start to race more.

Do you have any upcoming races or running goals?
Dash & Dine and Bolder Boulder.

Tell us a quick fun fact about yourself (or your family)
My work with the Campaign for Nature (where we are advocating to protect 30% of the planet by 2030) takes me all over the world and I always pack my running shoes so I can get in sightseeing runs wherever I go.
