Nancy was out there at the Dash & Dines in May, racking up some wins and prepping for her 1st AG in the BolderBoulder. West End Mile – 1st AG. Niwot Mile 8:53.
Carol Breglio (W60)
USA Triathlon Age Group National Championship 2:43:09 (Olympic-Distance) 15th AG. Qualified for the world championship.
Marcey Cote (W50)
Sunrise Stampede 5k 21:03 – 1st AG, Lifetime PR
4k on the 4th 17:06 – 1st AG, 3rd Master
Kate De Simone (W50)
The only race I did in July was the Ironman 70.3 in Oregon (July 23rd in Salem). 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, and 13.1 mile run: 5:41:56 – 30th AG. Fast down river swim in 19 minutes, 3:07 bike, 2:04 run. Still trying to break that 2 hr run off the bike!

Men’s Race Teams
Boulder Road Runners men took on many of the mile events in Downtown Boulder.
Colorado LDR Club Championship – Team Division
With three of five races completed in the 2023 edition of the Colorado USATF Long Distance Running Grand Prix, the men of Boulder Road Runners hold a commanding lead in the series. In the Club standing, the BRR Men are a perfect 3-for-3 winning the Cookie Chase 5K, Pearl Street Mile, and the Black Squirrel Trail Half Marathon. With 300 of a maximum possible 500 points already earned, the men have effectively clenched the Colorado Club Championship.
Athletics Boulder and Front Range Elite lead the Women’s club championship division. With two races remaining, the category is wide open.
Colorado LDR Club Championship – Open and Masters Division
The BRR men hold a remarkable seven of the top eight positions in the Masters competition. Frank Zoldak and Flavio De Simone also hold the 7th and 8th place positions in the Open division.

Key to earning the top positions in the overall standings was Frank Zoldak leading a BRR sweep of the top 4 places in the masters division of the Black Squirrel Trail Half Marathon run Sunday in Lowry State Park Northwest of Fort Collins. Nearly a masters runner, Dan McIntosh (age 39) finished 4th in the open race, joining our masters runners to score five places and take the win for the Club.
