USATF Colorado 2024 Grand Prix
Our beloved BOLDERBoulder also serves as the USATF Colorado 10K Road Championship to kick off the 2024 Long Distance Running Grand Prix. Other Boulder-based events in the seven-race series include the Pearl Street Mile, and Colleen DeReuck 5K XC Classic. Like last year, results are age-graded giving our members from every age group an opportunity to compete on the same scoring team in every championship race. With events in Fort Collins, Denver, and Colorado Springs, our BRR teams will tour the State defending our 2023 Men’s Club Championship and battling it out with the Women from Athletics Boulder as they seek to defend. Race Roundup & Aspire OTQ Update
This month’s Race Roundup is stacked with remarkable results including members running a new Masters Marathon record on Colorado Soil, another M70 National Team Championship, and more Top 5 U.S. results by our middle distance crew.
With over $25,000 raised, we are 91% to our fundraising goal for our Aspire OTQ athlete support program. We are fortunate to have partnered with truly community-minded athletes who are already giving back as much, or more than they are receiving. Program contributors become “Aspire OTQ Insiders” and receive periodic updates from the athletes with a behind-the-scenes glimpse of their journey to the Olympic Trials and beyond. Read the latest “Insider” post and consider donating to Aspire OTQ if you haven’t done so already.
Looking forward to seeing everyone on Memorial Day for the annual runner takeover of Boulder!
Happy training,
Chris McDonald
